(Telegraphic.) R.
Sir Edward Grey to Mr. Max Müller.
Foreign Office, April 18, 1910. YOUR telegram No. 75 [of 15th April: Sir R. Bredon] Chinese Minister has to-day informed me, by instruction of his Government, that Sir R. Bredon has tendered his resignation, which has been accepted.
He has been informed that preparations can now proceed for reception of Chinese Prince, but that this is provisional only, and that we expect to hear that Chinese Government will in the last resort agree to arbitration in regard to Macao and Engineering and Mining Company's case.
